I was a participating artist at the Mundo de las Mujeres Annual Art Gallery Show with IdealPDX at Milagro in Portland, OR. What a rush. I got so excited I made show-exclusive business cards that featured my “Reina” and her peacock companion.
I’d love to turn these into prints, stickers, or even some apparel screen-printing down the line. It was so inspiring to be surrounded by other artistas and creating a moment of community in what is otherwise a scary, oppressive reality. It truly feels like the only thing more powerful than hate is LOVE in those instances. I’m trying to hold onto that feeling, and keep creating to share my story.
